Steps to Apply
Step 1
Review the Requirements
Age: At least 18 years old.
Social security card.
Texas drivers license.
Physical Capability: Ability to perform the essential functions of the trade.
Step 2
Gather Necessary Documents
Final high school transcript or GED certificate (if graduated).
Social security card.
Texas drivers license.
For veterans: submit a copy of your DD214.
Any other documents including pertinent trade college or skill certifications.

Submit Documentation
All documents must be submitted simultaneously.
Ensure that Step 2 is complete before you begin uploading your documents.

Complete Online Application
Fill out and submit the online application form.
Upon submission, you will receive a confirmation email.

Interview Process
Qualified applicants will be contacted to schedule an interview with a subcommittee of the Joint Apprenticeship and Training Committee (JATC).
Step 6
Acceptance
Accepted candidates will be notified via text and email.
