Steps to Apply

Step 1

Review the Requirements

  • Age: At least 18 years old.
  • Social security card.
  • Texas drivers license.
  • Physical Capability: Ability to perform the essential functions of the trade.

Step 2

Gather Necessary Documents

  • Final high school transcript or GED certificate (if graduated).
  • Social security card.
  • Texas drivers license.
  • For veterans: submit a copy of your DD214.
  • Any other documents including pertinent trade college or skill certifications.

Step 3

Submit Documentation

  • All documents must be submitted simultaneously.
  • Ensure that Step 2 is complete before you begin uploading your documents.

Step 4

Complete Online Application

  • Fill out and submit the online application form.
  • Upon submission, you will receive a confirmation email.

Step 5

Interview Process

  • Qualified applicants will be contacted to schedule an interview with a subcommittee of the Joint Apprenticeship and Training Committee (JATC).

Step 6

Acceptance

  • Accepted candidates will be notified via text and email.
